[Instructor Profile] Up and Down (Takumi Takemori/Hiroki Abe)

A comedy duo formed in 1996 by Takumi Takemori and Hiroki Abe, classmates at Sapporo Tsukisamu High School.
He has appeared on many variety shows such as "Entertainment God" and "Bakushou! Red Carpet."
In addition to performing at theaters such as Lumine the Yoshimoto in Shinjuku, she has also appeared on stage in musicals and other productions.
In 2018, the 150th anniversary of the naming of Hokkaido, the musical "Kai", a two-person play that unravels the history of Hokkaido, will be performed in the Kanto region and Sapporo.
This performance has been well-received, and the group has been invited by local governments and boards of education in Hokkaido to perform in various parts of the prefecture, as well as at school art appreciation events. In January 2022, the group performed at the Sapporo Doushin Hall.
In 2019, they performed a new two-person play, a musical themed around kamikaze pilots, entitled "With You Under the Cherry Blossoms."
This also garnered an overwhelming response, and performances were scheduled to take place at 10 locations across the country in 2020, the 75th anniversary of the end of the war, but were canceled due to the effects of COVID-19.
In August 2021, the band performed at the Doushin Hall, sponsored by the Hokkaido Shimbun Press.
In 2021, as a new venture, they released a manzai comedy routine called "Bell of Hope," which commemorates the atomic bombing.
They use manzai comedy to spread awareness of the atomic bomb and war to a wide range of people, and have been featured on NHK, attracting a lot of attention.
