Gorgeous, extravagant, and dynamic. Lively, and filled with beer. The Susukino Festival is a colorful event that brightens up the summer in Susukino. It features a wide variety of shows, including traditional events such as the courtesan procession, portable shrine parade, and taiko drumming performances, as well as performances by the Yosakoi Soran team and on-stage dancing. Every night during the festival, the roadside becomes a pedestrian zone, and around 90 food stalls selling yakitori, oden, and other dishes are set up.
