Miyajima-numa is known as the northernmost and largest stopover site in Japan for the national natural monument, the "White-fronted Geese," and is registered under the Ramsar Convention. During peak seasons in spring and autumn, approximately 60,000 to 70,000 White-fronted Geese come to rest. The sight of the geese roosting, which can only be seen during certain seasons and times, is a spectacular sight.
With spring fast approaching and the arrival of the geese, a bus to Miyajima-numa will be operating on April 19th only. To make your trip even more enjoyable, a local guide will be included.
