Kudo Chihiro solo exhibition "Tomorrow's Garden"
Date and Time
2025/6/14~22
13:00 – 19:00 Open throughout the event
Every day we make many "choices," accumulate "memories," sometimes opening up possibilities through "restrictions," and continue to walk "incomplete," existing in the flow of "time." When will tomorrow come to us? Today becomes yesterday, and tomorrow becomes today. When we stare at the mere time axes scattered around us, in the blink of an eye, we go from a world of multiple layers of chaos to nothingness. I turn 25 this year. In the era of a 100-year lifespan, a quarter of it has already passed. As time passes, time begins to feel faster and heavier.
In today's world, we must scrutinize a huge amount of information to make a single decision, and we are required to continue searching for the "right choice for ourselves" through infinite comparisons. Under the term "personal responsibility," we live in a society where we are "chosen" in every situation. Everyone is exhausted, confused, and on the verge of isolation. In such a chaotic time, we must move on to the next "quarter." I believe that the way to come to terms with this era is to look at the time that flows inside of us. This exhibition is both an experiment and a prayer for that purpose. I have reconstructed the "elements that create tomorrow" in my daily life into five parts, and created new graphics and installations. I believe that poster expression and installation expression are similar but different. The time that flows in each of them is a collection of irreplaceable tomorrows, but when it becomes today, it shows a different expression. Please come to the base where you can find your "tomorrow."
