Dosetsu Kaigi ~ Kindness alone cannot get us to the future. ~

"A story about a future that can't be reached with kindness alone."

There are futures that cannot be reached through harshness alone.
That is why kindness is necessary.
But what if you change your perspective?

There are some futures that cannot be reached with kindness alone.
That's why strictness is necessary.

There is no absolute answer as to which is correct.
But there is one thing I can say with confidence.
"Only by carrying both kindness and strictness can we reach a future."

In this "Michiyuki Kaigi" session, we will face the difficult problems that are right in front of us, the realities that we want to turn a blind eye to, through each session.
With that in mind, we will turn our attention to and talk about the "hope" and "signs" in which we still want to believe.

Following on from last time, after the hour-long talk session there will be 30 minutes of time for participants to interact with each other.
We don't want to just "listen" to the conversation. We value the space to think, put things into words, and circulate them.
May the time spent asking questions and communicating with each other help, and as the name "The Road Opened," suggests, the closed roads will gradually melt away.

Origin of the Dosetsu Dissolution
Questions are exchanged as casually as if one were talking on the street.
Like melting snow, the things that were once taken for granted begin to melt away.
"Opening up" becomes the basis for creating "shared wishes."

Background
"Dosetsu Kaigi" will take over from the "Community Based Companies Forum (CBC Forum) - A Trade Fair That May Be a Sign of Hope" held in Kyoto in the spring of 2021, and explore the new values and possibilities that will be welcomed by the beautiful economic landscape and future created by the cultural economy of Hokkaido, Japan, and the world.

*What is the Community Based Companies Forum? This is a movement that started in Kyoto in March 2021 by companies and citizens who support the idea of "community based companies." It is held as a place to share practical knowledge of economic activities toward a sustainable society and connect diverse local governments, companies, and citizens who share the same ideas, and through the forum, the idea of "community based companies" is spreading throughout the country. Kyoto City has enacted the "Kyoto City Ordinance on Promoting the Sustainable Development of Community Based Companies," which defines companies, including small and medium-sized enterprises, that are rooted in the community and inherit and develop together with the community as "community based companies" and promotes the sustainable development of "community based companies" together with the community.
