On Sunday, July 6th, the only flax-themed festival in Japan, the Hokkaido Flax Festival, will be held in Tobetsu Town, Hokkaido, where flax cultivation has been revived. This is a flax-filled event with various flax-related exhibits, sales of agricultural products from the town, food and drink booths selling foods made with flax seeds, and a singing competition based on the song "The Girl with Flaxen-Colored Hair."
