The Shinshinotsu Blue Sky Festival, held every year at the end of August, is the biggest event in Shinshinotsu Village, known as the "Sky Town." At the "Agrifesta" held in the morning, you can fill up on fresh vegetables and Genghis Khan, which go perfectly with beer. Many other restaurants boasting delicious food from both inside and outside the village set up stalls in food trucks and tents. There are also many experience corners where you can try things you can't usually experience, such as hot air balloon rides and horse-drawn carriage rides.

You can also enjoy the summer atmosphere on stage with a variety of performances, including music, dance, and karate. As the sun sets, amid the sounds of rural drumming, a huge amount of rice cakes with gorgeous prizes will be thrown. The highlight is the spectacular sight of local people dancing to the spectacular floats that decorate the main street. Look up at the night sky and feel the magic of the fireworks to conclude this wonderful event.
