This event brings together the best local food from Asahikawa City, other municipalities in the northern Hokkaido region, and exchange cities with Asahikawa City at JR Asahikawa Station and Heiwadori Shopping Park, Japan's first permanent pedestrian zone. This year, in addition to menus that express Asahikawa's unique ingenuity and regional characteristics, a new "Food Forest Zone" will be established, bringing together booths from vendors who have collaborated with Asahikawa's ingredients and businesses.

This event will be an opportunity to rediscover the various charms of local food, encounter new foods, and think back to the producers, while also spreading the unique characteristics of Northern Hokkaido, a source of diverse and abundant food, to the whole country. Enjoy Asahikawa in autumn, when the town becomes a huge "feast market."

■About the Asahikawa Food Marche: Blessings of the North
The "Asahikawa Food Marche: Blessings of the North" began in 2010 to commemorate the 120th anniversary of the establishment of the three villages of Asahikawa, Kamui, and Nagayama in 1890. Since 2011, it has been held every September for three days, including Respect for the Aged Day, and has been enjoyed by many people every year, becoming established as a gourmet event representing northern Hokkaido. Starting in 2025, when the event will celebrate its 15th anniversary, "Asahikawa" will be added to the event name to promote the appeal of food even more than ever before from Asahikawa City, where it is held.
