Overview

This is a major event in Yubetsu Town, packed with the flavors of autumn. Seafood such as autumn salmon and scallops will be sold directly, as well as agricultural and livestock products such as onions and Yubetsu beef. In addition, delicious new year rice will be on sale from our sister city, Shinshinotsu Village.

The stage will feature performances by local students playing Koryo Taiko drums, a brass band concert, a live show by singer-songwriter Saki Yamamoto, and a show by local heroes, the Yubetsu Sentai Industrial Rangers. The annual Human Scallop Pulling Competition will also see teams show off their strength in a heated battle. The Salmon Catching Competition, open to elementary school students on a first-come, first-served basis, will see children desperately chasing salmon released into a specially set up fish tank.
