Komazawa Chinami Solo Exhibition "SKY FOREST"

Date and Time

2025/8/21~9/30

9:00-17:00 Closed on Wednesdays

This summer, I will be holding a solo exhibition at CREEK HALL in Nishi-ku, Sapporo.
Titled "Sky Forest," the exhibition features a grand piano and a space enveloped in the warmth of wood, showcasing a collection of works he has been working on in recent years.

The theme is "Painting Hokkaido creatures on Hokkaido trees."
Approximately 25 works of animals painted on Hokkaido wood, such as onco, cherry, larch, and elm, will be on display.
We aim to create an exhibition that resonates with the individuality of wood as a material and the presence of living creatures.

Komazawa Chinami, Japanese painter

Graduated from the Graduate School of Education, Hokkaido University of Education, majoring in Art Education. Lives in Ishikari City.
Starting from familiar sensations and emotions, he works to create works that contain vagueness and stories. He regularly holds solo exhibitions, mainly in Sapporo, and participates in numerous exhibitions both in Japan and abroad. In recent years, he has been challenging himself with new forms of expression, such as a series featuring Hokkaido creatures and letters as motifs. His works are housed in the Arishima Memorial Museum and Maruyama Zoo, among other places.
