In cooperation with the Forestry Agency's Hokkaido Forest Management Office, the Hokkaido Forest and Green Association (public corporation), relevant municipalities and organizations, etc., a series of events on "forest creation" and "wood use" are being held as the "Hokkaido Wood Education Festa" to promote collaborative forest creation with the participation of Hokkaido residents. This time, forest volunteer groups will be exhibiting woodworking experiences, as well as seedling-making and tree-climbing experiences.

The Hokkaido Tree Planting Day and Tree Care Day Ordinance has designated May as Tree Planting Month and October as Tree Care Month, periods designed to encourage active participation by Hokkaido residents in tree planting and care activities. Through this event, we will work to promote Tree Planting Day and Tree Care Month, as well as to achieve the goal of the "One Tree for Every Hokkaido Resident" initiative, planting and caring for 5 million trees throughout the prefecture.
