Warm lights will envelop the city, especially in the Motomachi district, where churches and Japanese-Western style houses dot the streets and you can enjoy an exotic atmosphere. They will be lit every day during the period. This year's Hakodate Illuminations will be held in a total of two locations. Hachimanzaka, a popular viewing spot known as a filming location for movies and commercials, and the trees lining Kaiko-dori, the road that leads from Nijukkenzaka to the bay area and the morning market. Enjoy the different views at each spot.
