About the Exhibition (from the organizer)

In planning the exhibition "On Drawing," I approached artists from among the contemporary artists I have seen in Sapporo over the past few years who have unique perspectives on "drawing" and "expression" and who maintain a challenging stance with each visit, and I also avoided exhibiting their works alongside my own. The spatial composition of this exhibition is an artistic experiment in sessions where artists deliberately shift phrases and change rhythms in response to the other artist's playing, like a free jazz improvisation, creating an experimental installation space through a one-off session. I hope you will be freed from your everyday life and experience this art space, which was born from the collision and overlap of four different expressions in a Goldilocks white cube. (Tsuge Hibiki)
