This spring, at Lake Shikotsu, Hokkaido, home to "Lake Shikotsu Tsuruga Resort Spa Mizu no Uta" and "Lake Shikotsu Tsuruga Besso Ao no Za," the light and sound event "Lake Shikotsu ILLUMINA HISTORIA" will be held for the first time. It is an immersive experience event where a fantastical world unfolds through projection mapping, set in the lakeside forest.

Supervising the story of this world is Ms. Yamazaki Mari, the manga artist and writer who is the author of "Thermae Romae". And the music that colors the story is handled by Mr. Toriyama Yuji, who is active as a guitarist and music producer. At the plaza in front of the deck of the Lake Shikotsu Visitor Center, which serves as the venue, projection mapping in harmony with nature will be displayed. An immersive space will be created, fantastically illuminating the trees and the dome (White Rock) and inviting visitors into the world of the story. It will reflect the history and vitality of Lake Shikotsu.

On Saturdays during the event period and on the final day, special concerts will be held, featuring readings by Ms. Yamazaki Mari and music by various artists centered around the Chitose Philharmonic. You can enjoy a special session featuring professional musicians active at the forefront, where you can experience a live performance full of presence.
