Toyoura Town is the birthplace of scallop farming in Funka Bay, and among the fishing industry, which is our town's core industry, scallops boast the highest catch volume. Utilizing these scallops, we will hold the 9th Team Competition of the 'TOYOURA World Scallop Fishing Championship,' which has been made into a competition under official rules. Unlike individual competitions, this competition involves relaying a single fishing rod, making individual strength and teamwork the key to victory. We will hold preliminary leagues and a final tournament to determine the world champion of the team competition.
