Toyoura Town is the birthplace of scallop aquaculture in Funka Bay, and scallops boast the highest catch volume among fisheries, which is the core industry of our town. Utilizing these scallops and turning it into a competition under official rules, we will hold the 9th Team Competition of the 'TOYOURA World Scallop Fishing Championship'. Unlike individual competitions, this competition involves relaying a single fishing rod, making individual strength and teamwork key to victory. Preliminary league and final tournament will be held to determine the world's best team.
