The highly popular event 'Model Train Festival in Abira D51 Station' will be held. Fun for the whole family.



■Popular Trains Gather! N-Gauge Running
Popular trains, from new limited expresses and Shinkansen to nostalgic famous cars, will run around on an approximately 35m N-gauge track loop. This time too, it will be connected to the 'Oiwake Engine Depot' exhibit at the Michi-no-Eki! Please enjoy the collaboration that transcends time and space as popular trains enter the grounds of the old Showa-era Oiwake Station.

■Full of Great Finds! Railway Treasure Market
Original goods from the familiar 'Railway Goods Shop Poppoya' and the 'Iwamizawa Akaden Hozonkai' will also be on sale. Furthermore, 'Yushokan,' which offers a wide array of railway books from fun-to-read 'introductory editions' to slightly more niche 'advanced editions,' will also have a stall. This time, there will also be stalls selling railway goods, including model train parts and miniature goods. Please fully replenish the 'tetsubun' (love for trains) you lost during the winter.

■Kamishibai, Picture Book Reading, Railway Books
A reading session for children will be held right next to the D51 320! In addition to original kamishibai by the kamishibai storyteller 'Midori Panda,' on April 19th (Sun), two groups from the town, 'Akazukin' and 'Arinkokai,' will appear to read picture books.

■Farewell SL Run 50th Anniversary Original Goods Sale!
This year marks the 50th anniversary milestone since the last JNR steam locomotive ran in Abira Town. To commemorate this, the Michi-no-Eki will start selling 'Farewell SL Run 50th Anniversary' original goods from April 19th (Sat), in conjunction with the Model Train Festival.
