A popular cherry blossom viewing spot visited by many hanami-goers from all over the country every year. The row of cherry trees, called Nijukken Road because the width of the trees on both sides is twenty ken (about 36m), stretches for about 7km in a straight line, looking just like a tunnel of cherry blossoms dyed completely pink. These magnificent cherry blossoms have also been selected for the '100 Best Roads in Japan,' 'Japan's Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots,' and as a 'Hokkaido Heritage' site.
During the event period, food stalls will be set up and various events are scheduled.
