The Saturday Citizen Seminar is a lecture series for the general public hosted by the Hokkaido University Museum. The theme of this lecture is, 'Do you know about the Sapporokujira that became a new species?'. We will provide an easy-to-understand explanation of the Sapporokujira (scientific name: Megaberiina Sapporoenshisu), which was discovered in Minami-ku, Sapporo City, and named as a new species in 2025.

We will introduce the key points to look for on the 'Sapporokujira,' which is also on display at the special exhibition 'Hokudai's Dinosaurs,' starting from July 3rd (Fri). This is recommended for everyone who wants to enjoy the special exhibition 10 times more.
