Overview

This year's catchphrase is 'The town that has the sun on its side.' These words embody the very soul of Hokuryu Town. The 2 million sunflowers blooming proudly on the vast 23-hectare hills are not just a natural landscape. They are the crystallization of the 'collaboration' and 'love' that the townspeople have cultivated over many years, joining hands and working hard.

In this sunflower field, the 'spirit of harmony' and the 'spirit of compassion,' cherished by the people of Hokuryu Town, are infused into each and every flower. This year, which marks the major milestone of the 40th event, a '40th Anniversary Special Project' filled with its history and gratitude is also scheduled to be held.
