This is an event held annually since 2021 to help more people learn about Matsuura Takeshiro, who is said to be the "godfather" of Hokkaido. We will hold exhibitions and mini-lectures that show the connection with Ainu culture, as well as the perennially popular Ainu pattern embroidery workshop. These are two days where you can feel the connection between Ainu culture and Matsuura Takeshiro while learning, seeing, and experiencing.


■Panel Exhibition: Delving into the six Hokkaido expeditions of Matsuura Takeshiro, the godfather of Hokkaido!
This introduces Matsuura Takeshiro's Hokkaido expeditions and his interactions with the Ainu people, as well as the achievements of the merchant Kaga Denzo, who was active as an Ainu language interpreter.

■Mini-Lecture: Let's learn the hidden stories of the interactions between the Ainu people, Matsuura Takeshiro, and Kaga Denzo!
