Overview

The "Ezo Momonga" (Siberian flying squirrel) kept at the Obihiro Zoo not only live in mountainous areas, but also inhabit familiar environments such as windbreak forests, riverside forests, and green spaces in urban areas around Obihiro. However, because they are nocturnal, the time available for observation is limited, and many people may have never seen them in the wild. Wild Ezo Momonga also live within the grounds of the Obihiro Zoo. After listening to a talk about the Ezo Momonga, we will go outside to look for them.
