Mari Kobamatsu

Born in Obihiro City, Hokkaido. He wants to “realize diverse ways of involvement in agriculture,” and since 2019, he has created and practiced his own way of working as a freelance farmer, traveling to farms all over Japan without owning land and a house. He is currently in his 5th year of meeting with over 100 farmers per year. While helping with farm work by moving from one base to another according to the busy farming season, he writes columns for Mynavi Agriculture and various magazines and disseminates information as an agricultural writer, while also being involved in projects for the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and the Cabinet Office, mainly in Hokkaido and Okinawa Prefecture, to solve problems in rural areas. He lives in hotels and guesthouses and travels to various regions.
