Kotakinosawa (Encounter Waterfall)
Overview
National Route 227 has long been an important road for the exchange of people and goods between Hakodate and Esashi. Kotaki-no-sawa (Deai-no-taki) is a 12m high, 7m wide waterfall that appears dimly lit as it is hidden by the trees, but in the autumn foliage season, it becomes a beautiful mountain stream surrounded by vibrant colors.
