Hokkaido Shimbun Head Office Plant
Visitors can observe state-of-the-art newspaper printing technology and a comfortable work environment.
It is available as a training site for off-campus learning, school excursions, and lifelong learning.
This is the printing plant of the Hokkaido Shimbun.
You can see how newspapers are printed on a high-speed offset press, packed, and shipped.
The tour includes (1) screening of a video introducing the Hokkaido Shimbun newspaper production process, (2) photo-taking and distribution of commemorative newspapers and souvenirs, and (3) a tour of the evening paper printing process (including the rotary press room through glass) by dedicated staff members.
The museum can be used as a training site for off-campus learning, school excursions, lifelong learning, etc.
The sight of colorful pages being printed on newsprint flowing at speeds of 40 km/h or more is a powerful sight!
After the tour, visitors will receive souvenirs such as stationery with the "Bun-chan" mark, the character of the Doshin Bunbun Club.

Monday through Friday, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Twice a day according to the printing time of the evening edition.

・Take the Toho Subway Line, get off at Fukuzumi Station, board the bus at bus terminal No. 5, and take the bus bound for Omagari Kogyo Danchi from Fukuzumi Station. 5-minute walk from the bus stop at "Omagari Park Golf Course" or "Joyful A-K".
Take the Subway Tozai Line, get off at Oyachi Station, board the bus at Bus Terminal No. 4 bound for Kashiwabadai Danchi from Oyachi Station, disembark at Omagari Bus Stop, and walk 12 minutes.
Approximately 40 minutes by car from the center of Sapporo City.
Approximately 5 minutes by car from the Kitahiroshima Interchange.
