Aomori-Hakodate Tunnel
Overview
Seikan Tunnel (total length 53.85 kilometers, below sea level 240 meters) started operation on March 13, 1988, and has been active as a main artery connecting Hokkaido and Honshu.
Shiriuchi Town has become the entrance and exit of the Seikan Tunnel on the Hokkaido side.
