Overview
Tosshōzan (Tosshōzan) is Pippu Town and Asahikawa City's boundary at located elevation 239 meters, total area 225 hectares' hilly area. Formerly, Tossho Mountain as was called, Ainu language's Tu-t-so Tuk-so (protrude・place) is etymology as is considered.
Mizunara oak and Shirakanba, maple etc.'s deciduous broadleaf forest's mixed forest by covered, approximately 1700 species' living things that live rich land is.
Early spring's forest floor on, Katakuri, Ezoengosaku, Ichige species etc.'s spring plants bloom profusely, especially Katakuri's large colony is Japan's largest class's one as widely is known.
