Shiokari Pass Memorial Hall (Former Residence of Ayako Miura)

The former residence of author Ayako Miura has been restored, and the room where she wrote the novel "Hyotetsu" and materials related to the novel and movie "Shiokari Pass" are on display. The restoration was made possible through the donation of daily necessities by the Miuras, and the purpose of the restoration is to recreate the living space where the Miuras lived and wrote in the 1950s, so that visitors can experience the life and personality of the Miuras at the time of their literary creation, to better understand Miura literature, and to pass on the foundations of Miura literature to future generations. The information above is based on a survey of the Miura Literature Museum.
