Baumkuchen carefully baked layer by layer
Nakafura's Baumkuchen is sold three days a week (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) at the entrance of a house in the middle of a farm. Five flavors are available: orange, maple, black tea, cinnamon, and rum. The bakery does not use emulsifiers or bubbling agents, and each layer is baked carefully and painstakingly by hand, which is rare nowadays. The baked goods are baked to be tightly packed. The "hands-on baking class" where you can bake your own baumkuchen and take it home is also very popular.
