National Cultural Property "Famous Pirika Noka" Cape Erimo (Onneenrum)

The Hidaka mountain range, called the backbone of Hokkaido, gradually lowers in elevation and sinks directly into the Pacific Ocean, giving a sense of the magnificent drama of nature at Cape Erimo. Despite being washed by rough seas over the years, the sight of reefs stretching as far as 2 kilometers offshore is impressive. It is also famous as a spot for the first sunrise of the year.
