SPOT
Kurose Lavender Garden
Kurose Lavender Garden, where Mt. Pinneshiri can be seen from the lavender-blossomed hill.
The owner started this garden around 1980 as a hobby.
There is a store in the parking lot and seasonal vegetables are sold directly.
Lavenders are cultivated on the slopes of the mountain, and the best time to see them is from mid to late July, when they bloom all over the mountain slopes. The red-roofed pavilion at the top of the mountain is its trademark.
About 15,000 lavenders are planted on a 1.3 hectare hillside. Why not stop by during your drive and be healed? Admission is free.
Morning vegetables are also available at the Soraichi Market of Highway Oasis Sorachi.
