SPOT
Kurose Lavender Garden
Kurose Lavender Garden offers a view of Mount Pinneshiri from the lavender-filled hills.
The owner started it as a hobby around 1980.
There is also a shop in the parking lot where seasonal vegetables are sold directly.
Lavender is cultivated on the mountain slopes. The best time to see it is from mid to late July, when the lavender blooms all over the mountain slopes. The red-roofed gazebo at the top is the park's trademark.
Approximately 15,000 lavender plants are planted on the slopes of a hill covering an area of about 1.3 hectares. Why not stop by on your drive to relax and unwind? Admission is free.
Freshly picked vegetables are also sold at the Sorachi Highway Oasis Farm Market.
