Furano area is famous for lavender in Hokkaido, but there are many other attractive spots where the purple carpet spreads. Here are 10 spectacular spots, ranging from beautiful sights to hidden gems, that you can enjoy while sightseeing or driving around.

It is a popular lavender spot, and in addition to lavender, visitors can enjoy a variety of other flower fields that color the hills from spring to autumn. It has a long history as a lavender field, and you can enjoy the lavender museum as well as stores and cafes in the park all day long. Lavender East, a field run by Farm Tomita for the production of fragrances, is also open to the public for a limited time in Kamifurano Town, about 4 km away, and the lavender fields spreading out in view of the Tokachi Mountain Range are a spectacular sight.

This is a view spot where you can enjoy the lavender fields spreading all over from the west side of the observatory at the top of a small hill, the scenery of the town and the sunset spreading out behind, and the magnificent Tokachi Mountain Range to the east side. There is a cute pavilion at the top of the hill where lavenders are in full bloom, and Mount Pinneshiri can be seen in the distance. Freshly picked vegetables are sold directly at the store in the parking lot.
