When it comes to lavender in Hokkaido, the Furano area is famous, but there are many other attractive spots where purple carpets spread out. Here are 10 scenic spots that you can enjoy by sightseeing or driving, from beautiful famous spots to hidden gems.

It is also a popular spot for lavender, and you can enjoy a variety of other flower fields aside from lavender, coloring the hills from spring to autumn. The lavender fields have a long history, and the park has a lavender museum as well as shops and cafes, so you can enjoy it all day long. About 4km away in Kamifurano Town, Farm Tomita's Lavender East, a field for producing fragrances, is open to the public for a limited time. The lavender fields overlooking the Tokachi mountain range offer a magnificent view.

This is a lavender farm managed by a private farmer in Sunagawa City. The owner, Mr. Kurose, started this as a hobby around 1980, and it has now become a spot known only to those in the know. At the top of the hill, covered in blooming lavender, there is a cute gazebo from which you can see Mt. Pinneshiri in the distance. The shop in the parking lot sells freshly picked vegetables.
