4-Chome Plaza" or "4PLA" was once loved by Sapporo citizens and became a symbol of youth culture. A new commercial facility called "4PLA" will open in the spring of 2025 on the site of the former 4PLA! The name of the entire building is "Sapporo 4-chome Place. The commercial area "4PLA" will occupy the first basement to the third floor, and the fourth to the thirteenth floors will be used as office space. Here are some of the highlights of "4PLA," including a restaurant bar, a meeting spot with a view of the streetcar, and an indoor park, which will become a symbol of the new Sapporo!

4PLA" will be located in the Odori area in the center of Sapporo, at the scramble intersection of Minami 1 Nishi 4, "4-chome Jujigai". This is the location where "4-chome Plaza," once popular as a center of youth culture, existed for 50 years. While inheriting its history and the nickname "4PLA," "4PLA" has evolved for a new era.

The name of the building is "Sapporo 4-chome Place. The commercial facility "4PLA" occupies the first basement to the third floor, and the fourth to the thirteenth floors are used as office space. In addition, the first and third floors will be used as a "town living room," a common space that anyone can feel free to use, and will become a new hub for the Sapporo Odori area, visited by Sapporo citizens and tourists alike.

ODORiBA Odori Baru

ODORiBA Odori Bar" is located on the B1 floor! Based on the concept of a "bar area where you can also have lunchtime drinks," seven unique restaurants will gather here. Featuring a 5.5-meter-high ceiling, the spacious space can be used for a wide range of occasions, from lunch to evening drinks. In addition, upcycled artwork made from interior materials used in the former "4-Chome Plaza" is also displayed. It is a space where the past and the future intersect.

4PLA SPOT

The first floor is lined with stores that serve as the face of the building, as well as the new "4PLA SPOT," a new meeting spot on Odori. Located right in front of the Nishi 4-chome streetcar station and adjacent to a café stand, it is a great place to meet up or just take a break with a cup of coffee in hand. It is sure to be a convenient and comfortable space for Sapporo streetcar and subway users.

4PLA PARK

The 2nd and 3rd floors are lined with stores where visitors can enjoy shopping and eating/drinking. The indoor park "4PLA PARK" on the third floor is the center of attention. With its expansive plantings and artificial grass, it is like an urban park that can be enjoyed even in winter. Container-type stores have also been set up in this area, creating an atmosphere where visitors can stop by for a quick shopping or rest break. In addition, the outer perimeter is an outdoor terrace where visitors can relax and enjoy the atmosphere of the city of Sapporo.

4PLA PARK

The 4th to 13th floors of Sapporo 4-Chome Place are environmentally friendly office space. They are powered by 100% renewable energy and have been certified as a "zero carbon promotion building. The office space is suitable for the future.

Re-Bear Project" image

In preparation for the opening in spring 2025, a unique event called "Re-Bear Project" will be held at "4PLA PARK" on the 3rd floor. In this project, "wooden carved bears" that have been lying dormant in homes and warehouses will be reborn as contemporary art by local artists.

Access is superb! It is directly connected to Odori Subway Station and is also right in front of Nishi 4-chome Station on the streetcar. The location in the center of Sapporo makes it easy to access from anywhere.

4PLA" and "Sapporo 4-chome Place" have evolved into the future while inheriting the history of "4-Chome Plaza". We can't wait for the spring of 2025, when a new landmark will be born in the Sapporo Odori area!
