Niseko Annupuri, 1308 m above sea level, is located in the Niseko Shakotan Otaru Kaigan National Park and means "mountain with precipitous cliffs" in the Ainu language. In summer, trekking from Hanazono Plateau to Kagaminuma can be enjoyed. In winter, the vast slopes of the Niseko Grand Hirafu and Niseko HANAZONO Resort attract skiers and snowboarders from all over the world. At the base of the Grand Hirafu ski area, Hirafu Village offers hot springs, hotels, restaurants, and cafes. In the Hanazono area, there are quiet vacation homes surrounded by forests.
