Mirror Marsh

It is located within a raised bog situated on the mid-slope of the northeast face of Niseko Annupuri (elevation 570m). This bog is mainly maintained by snowmelt water, and on the opposite bank of the marsh, giant trees such as Mizunara oak, Itaya maple, and Hounoki magnolia exist as a forest close to a primeval forest. This name was given because on windless days, the surrounding scenery is reflected on the water surface like a mirror.

There are two main routes heading towards Kagaminuma. One is the "HANAZONO GOLF Route," which enters from near the HANAZONO Golf Course located at Hanazono 1, Kutchan-cho. The other is the "Route 58," which enters from along Prefectural Road No. 58 (Hanazono, Kutchan-cho ~ Goshiki Onsen). Each has its own characteristics, so choose from your preferred route.
*Note: In the marsh, there are floating islands that constantly move with the wind of the day. Please try to find them.

The "HANAZONO GOLF Route" is the route where a wooden bridge near the golf course is the entrance. After crossing three bridges and walking through the forest, a pleasant, open space awaits. Around Kagaminuma, there is a wooden boardwalk making it easy to walk, and since there are also benches, you can take a break.

For the "Route 58," if you proceed for a few minutes by car from the winter road closure Hanazono Gate of Prefectural Road No. 58 (Kutchan-Niseko Line), there is the Kagaminuma entrance on your left. If you walk for about 35 minutes from the entrance, you will arrive at Kagaminuma. The course is a mountain path with ups and downs and points where you cross small streams.
