SPOT
Shigechan Land
Shigechan Land is a private museum of all the elephants built by the sculptor Shigenari Onishi in 2001.
Opened in 2001, Shigechan Land is a 4-year renovation of a former ranch land of about 8,000 tsubo.
The land was named after the functions of the human body, including the eyes, nose, and mouth, so that it would become a single living organism.
It consists of 14 exhibition halls of various sizes, which continue to proliferate.
Deep yet peaceful! Come and stroll through the Shigechan World, a different kind of space where you can be free from your daily life and face the works of art scattered around the site.
