Lake Akan Ainu Theatre "Ikoㇿ" opened as Japan's first theater dedicated to Ainu culture, and in the spring of 2021 all the programs performed at Ikoㇿ will be renewed. The performances will include "Ainu Koshiki Buyo" (traditional Ainu dance), which is based on the motif of "Inau," a ritual tool used in Ainu ceremonies, and "Akan Yukara 'Lost Kamuy'," a fusion of traditional Ainu dance and digital art. Please experience the Ainu culture that has continued since ancient times through each of these unique performances.
