Entering from the Mt. Ouaman trailhead entrance, trek for about 15 minutes until you reach Lake Taro, a small lake surrounded by virgin forest. After another 5 minutes, you will arrive at Lake Jiro. The trail is open year-round (snowshoes may be necessary in winter), and around June, Ezomurasaki azalea and Rhododendron japonicum flowers are at their best. In autumn, the area is famous for its autumn foliage, and in winter, the coniferous forests are beautiful. When visiting without a guide, it is recommended to bring a bear repellent bell.
