An aircraft featuring "Snow Miku," the character that cheers for Hokkaido, arrived at Sapporo Okadama Airport on Tuesday, December 27, 2022. It began passenger flights later that same day.

This collaboration was born from the theme of Snow Miku's costume for the "SNOW MIKU 2023" festival: a "sky pattern" inspired by Hokkaido's winter. This made it a perfect opportunity to liven up Hokkaido's skies together.

Hokkaido Air System, also known as HAC, is a regional airline in Hokkaido that began operations in 1998, celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2023. This milestone is noted on the wrapped aircraft, along with the collaboration's catchphrase.

An unveiling event was held at Sapporo Okadama Airport on December 27. The event was live-streamed on the internet.

The wrapped aircraft, an ATR 42-600 model, is an eco-friendly plane that is kind to Hokkaido's nature, operating with significantly less fuel consumption than jet aircraft. All seats offer an equal opportunity to enjoy the magnificent views of Hokkaido's landscape from the windows.

Looking ahead, a variety of exciting events are lined up, including the sale of original merchandise, a stamp rally across the seven airports served by HAC, and a "Sapporo Scenic Flight" aboard the Snow Miku wrapped aircraft!
