The model was made by Kiyomi Horii, a woodcarver living in Sapporo.

The wooden carved bear art candle was released by Tomioka Cleaning (Happy Tree Co., Ltd.) in Nakashibetsu Town, located in the eastern part of Hokkaido. The product was actually released seven years ago, but was renewed at this time when tourism demand is increasing. It is now on sale again.

The parent bear is palm-sized at 10cm wide x 7cm high x 6cm deep. The baby bear is mini-sized at 6.5cm wide x 4.5cm high x 3.5cm deep.

If you look closely at the wooden bear candle, you can see that attention has been paid to every detail, from the bear's shiny fur and expression to the salmon's shape. And now, a baby bear has joined the group! A new color, brown, has also been added. The nostalgic wooden bear may be large and difficult to take home, but the palm-sized candle makes a perfect souvenir.
