The popular Pokemon character "Alola Rokon Rokon" has been transformed into a "Rokon-yaki" filled with Hokkaido red beans and milk! The appearance of the character has become a topic of conversation because of its cuteness.

Rokon-yaki" is made by Sazae Shokuhin, well-known in Hokkaido for its delicious o-hagi and taiyaki.

The dough is shaped like "Arora Rokon" and "Rokon" and filled with tsubuan (sweet red bean paste) made from Hokkaido Tokachi azuki beans and milk cream made from Hokkaido milk, respectively. The price is 250 yen per piece (tax included).

Rokon (tsubuan): Soft dough made from Hokkaido wheat and filled with tsubuan made from azuki beans produced in Tokachi, Hokkaido.

Arora Rokon (milk cream): Chewy dough, filled with milk cream made from Hokkaido milk.

Arora Rokon and Rokon are active as the "Hokkaido Daisuki Discovery Team!

As part of the "Pokémon Local Acts" project, in which "Pokémon Local Actors" from different regions introduce the attractions of their areas, Alola Rokon and Rokkon were appointed to the "Hokkaido Daisuki Discovery Team" in October 2018. Alola Locon, a fox Pokémon that lives in the mountains, is the captain, and Rokon, also a fox Pokémon, is the vice-captain, continuing their activities to support Hokkaido.

In order to help promote Hokkaido, Alola Rokon and Rokon have joined forces with Sazae Shokuhin, a company that develops confectionery made from carefully selected Hokkaido ingredients, to create "Rokon-Yaki".

Rokon-yaki are now on sale at Daimaru Sapporo Tokachi Daimyo (B1F Hoppetown), which is directly connected to JR Sapporo Station. Please drop by the store together with the Pokémon Center Sapporo located inside the building.
