Royce's hands-on facility opens in Tobetsu, Hokkaido! Learn about the world of chocolate making while having fun
An experiential facility for the hugely popular chocolate brand "ROYCE" called "ROYCE Cacao & Chocolate Town" has opened in Tobetsu, Hokkaido. Located next to the ROYCE Town factory, you can enjoy the process from cacao cultivation to chocolate making through various exhibits and experiences. We will introduce the details of each area of "ROYCE Cacao & Chocolate Town."

"Entrance" (1F, free area) where you can see the production line up close
After passing through the entrance gate, take the elevator to the paid area. Your "chocolate journey" will begin, where you will experience the process of growing cacao beans and creating "Farm-to-Bar" chocolate, made by Royce!
Learn about cacao while touring Royce's farms in the "Cacao Farm Zone" (3F)
When you get off the elevator, you will enter the "Cocoa Farm Zone," a world that recreates Royce's own farm in Colombia, South America. You can experience firsthand the cacao cultivation that Royce undertakes, such as drying cacao beans and feeling the weight of the cacao pods at harvest time.
The excitement never stops at Royce Chocolate Factory "Factory Experience Zone" (2nd and 3rd floors)
The "Factory Experience Zone" is an area where you can tour a cacao bean processing factory. You can experience the air shower used when entering the factory, and change into work clothes using a camera. There is also a theater where you can experience the manufacturing process from the chocolate's perspective, which gives you an exciting feeling like you're in an attraction.
When the show ends, the wall on which the video was being shown starts moving, and you are taken to an area lined with various games themed around chocolate making. It's a space that both adults and children can enjoy. Don't miss the fun-filled photo spot, which is sure to look great on social media.
Make your own one-of-a-kind chocolate at the "Chocolate Workshop" (2nd floor, additional fee)
The Chocolate Workshop is a hands-on experience studio where you can make your own original chocolate. You can freely decorate a large chocolate bar with nuts, dried fruits, and other ingredients. This experience requires an additional fee of 1,500 yen.
Chocolate-related collections, art and history of Royce's "Royce's Collection Street" (2F)
"Royce Collection Street" is an exhibition area that looks back on the history of Royce and displays precious collections of chocolate labels, cans, tableware, and more from around the world. The wall is lined with Royce's past packages, which is a highlight. The museum also displays antiques, paintings, wooden carved bears, and other artworks.

After enjoying your chocolate journey to your heart's content, head to the Royce Town factory shop located next to the factory! In addition to over 200 types of chocolate and baked goods, a wide variety of products are on sale, including limited edition breads and pizzas. JR Royce Town Station-related products and Royce Town original goods are also perfect as souvenirs.
There is also an eat-in space where you can enjoy soft serve ice cream and drinks.
At the direct sales store, Royce's is selling limited edition "Farm-to-Bar" chocolates, which are made by the company itself, from the farm to the final product. Why not try the taste that is the result of the manufacturing process that you have experienced so far?
