Lloyds hands-on facility opens in Tobetsu-cho, Hokkaido! The world of chocolate making where you can learn while you play!
Lloyds Cacao & Chocolate Town, a hands-on facility of the popular chocolate company Lloyds, has opened in Tobetsu-cho, Hokkaido. Lloyds Cacao & Chocolate Town is located next to the Lloyds Town factory, and visitors can enjoy a variety of exhibits and hands-on experiences that show the process from cacao cultivation to chocolate production. Pass through the entrance gate and take the elevator to the pay area. The "Chocolate Journey" begins as you experience the process of making "Farm to Bar" chocolate, which Lloyds has been involved in since the cultivation of cacao!
Cacao Farm Zone" (3F), where you can learn about cacao while traveling through Lloyds' farms
Upon exiting the elevator, visitors will find themselves in the "Cacao Farm Zone," a recreation of Lloyds' own farm in Colombia, South America. Visitors can dry cacao beans, experience the weight of cacao pods at harvest time, and learn firsthand about the cacao cultivation that Lloyds is involved in.
Excitement never stops at the Lloyds Chocolate Factory "Factory Experience Zone" (2F and 3F)
The "Factory Experience Zone" is an area where visitors can tour a cacao bean processing factory. Visitors can experience the air shower used to enter the factory and use a camera to change into work clothes. There is also a theater where visitors can experience the manufacturing process from the perspective of chocolate, making it feel like an exciting attraction.
After the video is over, the wall on which the video was being projected moves to an area where various games inspired by the chocolate-making process are lined up. Don't miss the playful photo spots that are sure to be a hit on social networking sites.
Make your own chocolate at the "Chocolate Workshop" (2F, extra charge)
The Chocolate Workshop is a hands-on workshop where you can make your own original chocolate. Visitors can decorate a large chocolate bar with nuts, dried fruits, and other ingredients of their choice. A separate fee of 1,500 yen is required for this experience.
Collection related to chocolate, art & Lloyds history "Lloyds Collection Street" (2F)
The "Lloyds Collection Street" is an exhibition area that looks back on the precious collection of chocolate labels, cans, tableware, and other items from around the world, as well as the packaging and history of Lloyds. The wall is lined with a spectacular array of Lloyds packages from past generations. The museum also features antiques, paintings, and wooden carved bears.

After enjoying your chocolate journey to the fullest, head to the Lloyd's Town Factory Shop, located next to the factory, where you can find over 200 kinds of chocolates and baked goods, as well as a variety of products such as limited edition breads and pizzas.
There is also an eat-in space where you can enjoy soft ice cream and drinks.
At the direct sales store, "Farm to Bar" chocolates, in which Lloyds handles everything from the farm to the production of the product, are available on a limited basis. Why not taste the flavors that are the result of the manufacturing process you have experienced so far?
