The "snow fairy" Shimaenaga and Hokkaido's soul drink "guarana" collaborate! What kind of guarana will it be?
The striped nuthatch, also known as the "snow fairy," is a wild bird found only in Hokkaido, Japan. Its adorable appearance, also known as the "snow fairy," has attracted many people, and in recent years it has become a booming product. This time, we would like to introduce the "White guarana of the zebra finch," a fusion of the very cute zebra finch and Hokkaido's soul drink, guarana.
The illustration of a Striped Enaga on the package
The dull eyes, the dumpling-like round shape... the label is so cute that you can't help but pick it up.
This product was developed by Obara Corporation, headquartered in Nanae-machi, Hokkaido. Ltd. based in Nanae-machi, Hokkaido. The company manufactures Koap Garana, which still boasts strong popularity today. It has been in business for 92 years this year!
Originally, Koap guarana was developed to compete with Coca-Cola, which had entered the Japanese market, so the color of Koap guarana is similar to that of Coke, but as the name "White Guarana" implies, the new guarana is white, in the image of a striped guarana.
According to Mr. Obara, when a limited quantity of the product was sold at the end of last year, it was immediately sold out, and the additional production was also immediately sold out...the response was even greater than expected. The product was sold only during the winter, but stores that carry it have asked for it to be sold year-round because it sells so well.
Shimae [Naga] and [Ga] La [Na]... If you look closely, you can see that the two letters are also covered, so this may have been a fateful combination!
Where can I buy one?
We are not sure exactly where you can buy it because it is sold in limited quantities, but after some research, we found that it is sold at Hokkaido product fairs, Hokkaido souvenir shops, roadside stations, supermarkets, etc. (The author bought it about a month ago, and it is still available. (The author found it at Sunagawa SA about a month ago!) It also seems to be available for online purchase, so if you are interested, please check it out.
The recent situation with guarana
A number of attractive Obara-san's guaranas have appeared one after another, including an apple-flavored guarana "Garanapuru" produced in collaboration with Aeon, and "Koap guarana x Hakodate Keirin 19th Summer Night Festival Commemorative Bottle" produced in collaboration with Hakodate Bicycle Racecourse (for a limited time only). We are looking forward to seeing what new guaranas will be released next.
