Finally, Iwamizawa/Takikawa direction. Here, Koshunai, two stops ahead of Iwamizawa, and Bibai, one stop further ahead, clear for the same price of 1,290 yen. Starting with Bibai, Sunagawa, Takikawa, and Furano beyond are also areas where savings can be made. Please note, however, that the ticket is not valid from Takikawa to Asahikawa, and that there are only a few regular trains in the direction of Furano.

Incidentally, the section from Furano to Shintoku via Higashishikagoe will be discontinued next spring, so now is the time to take the train! The train is a very strenuous journey, and the scenery from the train window will be pitch black on the way back, but you can make the round trip from Sapporo and back in one day with the following itinerary.

Due to the transfer time, lunch time will be at Furano and dinner time at Shintoku. Since trains are suspended between Higashi-shikagoshi and Shintoku for a long period of time, we will take a substitute bus.

If you do not take the bus to Shintoku and turn around at Higashikagoshi, you can return to Sapporo at 18:47. If you are tired and broken-hearted after going to Shintoku, don't worry, you can take the express train via Tomamu for an extra fee and arrive at Sapporo at 20:28.

The One-Day Walking Ticket will be on sale and available on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays until November 12 (Sun.), 2023. If you want to take a day trip without a car and save money, this ticket is a good buy!
