A Dream Collab: Hokkaido's Classic Souvenir Meets a Beloved Ice Cream! We Tried the New Yukimi Daifuku x Shiroi Koibito
Made with Real Shiroi Koibito White Chocolate
I picked up a "Yukimi Daifuku x Shiroi Koibito" at my local convenience store. The package proudly states, "Made with Shiroi Koibito Chocolate." Now, let's open the lid...
While regular Yukimi Daifuku is pure white, the "Yukimi Daifuku x Shiroi Koibito" has a slightly yellowish hue. A nice touch is the included special fork, so you can eat it right away.
So, what's inside? Let's cut it in half.
Inside the milk ice cream is a luscious white chocolate sauce made from Shiroi Koibito's white chocolate. Time for a taste test!
The outside has the signature chewy mochi texture of Yukimi Daifuku. Inside, the milk ice cream with the flavor of Shiroi Koibito's langue de chat cookies and the white chocolate sauce made with Shiroi Koibito chocolate are a perfect match without being overly sweet! It left me with the impression of a more mature and elegant flavor than the regular Yukimi Daifuku. I finished both in no time!
A Winning Combination That Lives Up to the Hype
The much-talked-about "Yukimi Daifuku x Shiroi Koibito" is available at convenience stores and supermarkets nationwide for 205 yen (tax included). You won't regret buying and trying it! If you see it, be sure to give it a taste.
