In November 2023, Lotte released the ISHIYA-supervised "Yukimi Daifuku x Shiroi Koibito" nationwide in Japan. This collaboration between the wildly popular, long-selling ice cream "Yukimi Daifuku" and the quintessential Hokkaido souvenir "Shiroi Koibito" was a hot topic on social media even before its release. So, what does it taste like? We bought one to find out!
While regular Yukimi Daifuku is pure white, the "Yukimi Daifuku x Shiroi Koibito" has a slightly yellowish hue. A nice touch is the included special fork, so you can eat it right away.

The outside has the signature chewy mochi texture of Yukimi Daifuku. Inside, the milk ice cream with the flavor of Shiroi Koibito's langue de chat cookies and the white chocolate sauce made with Shiroi Koibito chocolate are a perfect match without being overly sweet! It left me with the impression of a more mature and elegant flavor than the regular Yukimi Daifuku. I finished both in no time!
