The "Munich Christmas Market in Sapporo" is a winter event that has been held since 2002 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the sister city partnership between Sapporo and Munich, Germany. The 24th edition will be held in 2025, from November 21st (Friday) to December 25th (Thursday) at Odori Park Nishi 2-chome.

The venue is lined with booths selling Christmas goods, German cuisine, and more, and there are a variety of events taking place during the period! Along with the "Sapporo White Illumination" which is held at the same time in Odori Park and other areas, this is a popular winter event that creates a romantic Christmas atmosphere.

This is the day to celebrate Saint Nicholas, who is as important as Santa in Germany. On December 6th, Santa will give sweets to children who visit, allowing you to experience an authentic winter custom in Sapporo.

Mulled wine or hot chocolate original mug set

The food booths will be selling mulled wine and rich hot chocolate, which will warm you from the inside out, in sets with original mugs.
