The long-beloved "Qualite Prix" in Shin-Sapporo will be retired, and the complex will undergo a major renewal to be reborn as the new "Sunpiazza" in September 2025. The interior design will be refreshed, with new stores opening and a series of special campaigns and exciting events. Here's a complete guide to the renewal.

With this renewal, the Qualite Prix name, familiar since 2000, will be discontinued. The existing Sunpiazza will be expanded, unifying the facility under a single name. This will transform Sunpiazza and Duo into a commercial space with approximately 250 stores. The layout of the complex will also be reorganized to improve traffic flow, grouping stores of the same category together to create a layout that facilitates both destination shopping and casual browsing.

The new Sunpiazza will feature wood and wood-grain panels on its exterior and interior, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Furthermore, the event space on the first floor of the former Qualite Prix will be renovated and opened up as a "community living room" with movable benches. It can be used not only for events but also as a casual spot to relax or meet up with friends.

The renewal will welcome a total of nine new stores, including an apparel shop opening its first branch in Hokkaido, the specialty tea store "Lupicia," and the craft and hobby shop "Yuzawaya."

To celebrate the renewal, exciting gift campaigns will also be held.

September 6 (Sat) – 15 (Mon, Holiday): Gift Campaign

During this period, customers who spend 1,000 yen or more (incl. tax, single transaction) at participating stores in Sunpiazza, Qualite Prix, or Duo will receive an entry ticket with a serial code (one per transaction). By applying through the online form, 700 lucky winners will be chosen by lottery to win prizes such as shopping vouchers and travel coupons.

Furthermore, during the four days from the grand reopening on September 12 (Fri) to 15 (Mon, Holiday), the chances of winning will be doubled, with two entry tickets being distributed instead of the usual one.

September 12 (Fri) – 15 (Mon, Holiday): Daily First-Come, First-Served Gifts for a Total of 1,000 People

Each day, the first 250 customers who present receipts totaling 2,000 yen or more (incl. tax, can be combined) from purchases made on the same day at Sunpiazza, Duo, or AEON Shin-Sapporo will receive a commemorative renewal gift.

To commemorate the grand reopening, special events will be held, including a fair where high school students sell products they've developed and a cosplay event.

September 12 (Fri) & 13 (Sat): Hokkaido High School Commercial Education Fair

Twenty high schools with commercial programs from all over Hokkaido will set up booths at Sunpiazza 1F's "Hikari no Hiroba" to sell products they have developed and local specialties.

September 13 (Sat) & 14 (Sun): Shin-Sapporo Cosplay Festa 3 #ShinsatsuCos

This cosplay event was born from the desire of Sapporo Gakuin University students to establish a new culture in Shin-Sapporo. Now in its third year, the event will be held over two days for the first time. Nine locations throughout the area will be open as photo spots, and stage shows, bingo tournaments, and other activities are planned.

September 15 (Mon, Holiday), 23 (Tue, Holiday), 27 (Sat) from 14:00 each day: Sunpiazza Brass Band Festival (Tentative)

Performances are scheduled by the Hokkai Gakuen Sapporo High School Brass Band Club on the 15th (Mon, Holiday), the Sapporo Nihon University High School Brass Band Club on the 23rd (Tue, Holiday), and the Hokusei Gakuen University High School Brass Band Club on the 27th (Sat).
