Head to the 7th-floor event space at Daimaru Sapporo for a cool event to beat the summer heat. A selection of chilled desserts from all over Japan will be gathered in one place, including award-winning gelato from an international exhibition, rich matcha sundaes from Kyoto, and soft-serve ice cream with the deep, full-bodied flavor of black tea.

Furthermore, don't miss the vendors from within Hokkaido, offering treats like a parfait with yogurt soft serve on a crispy apple pie, and a new kind of chilled sweet in collaboration with the adorable "Kumayaki." EVENT 2 Featuring Art and Workshops! An Urban Outdoor Festival of Intersecting Cultures: "MTG ~Maa Iikara Tekito ni Groove~ 2026"

This urban outdoor festival, held at Benizakura Park in Sapporo's Minami Ward, is a crossroads of music and diverse cultures. Now in its second year, the event is even bigger, with about 40 groups of musicians from Sapporo, Tokyo, and the Kansai area scheduled to deliver passionate performances. The venue will also feature around 30 unique shops, including vintage clothing stores, illustrator booths, and a Pilates studio, offering a captivating, multi-sensory cultural experience.

Enjoy music by the bonfire at night

At night, you can enjoy a luxurious chill-out session, bathing in sound under a star-filled sky or by a bonfire. The location is accessible by car, bus, or even on foot from the subway station, allowing for a flexible experience that involves the whole city. You can spend the day swaying to a pleasant groove in the lush green venue, head to the nearby Sumikawa area for dinner with friends in the evening, and then return for the night's festivities.

A limited-time shop for the anime "Nintama Rantaro," beloved by generations, is opening. The "Ninjutsu Gakuen Nintama School Store" pop-up, a hugely popular event that created a buzz in Tokyo, Osaka, and Fukuoka, is finally making its long-awaited debut in Sapporo. The shop will feature a rich lineup of original merchandise that you can only get here.
