What is Sapporo Odori Beer Garden?

Sapporo Odori Beer Garden is one of the largest beer gardens in Japan, with over 10,000 seats available in the spacious Odori Park, and is expected to attract 886,000 visitors in 2023. This event, which began as a "Summer Cool Garden" in 1959, allows you to enjoy a summer day with a beer to your heart's content. In 2025, the event will run for 27 days, from Friday, July 18th to Wednesday, August 13th. This year, it will be held as part of the Sapporo Summer Festival.

Suntory The Premium Malt's Garden in Nishi 5-chome is conveniently located just a one-minute walk from Odori Subway Station, and has significantly expanded its covered seating since last year. Guests can enjoy dishes created by Chef Shimokuninobu, the first champion of the CHEF-1 Grand Prix, that perfectly complement Suntory's signature Premium Malt's. Mobile ordering is available for all seats, eliminating the need to buy tickets, and staff will conveniently bring food and drinks to your table.

The food selection includes "Genghis Khan Ratatouille with Lamb and Summer Vegetables" supervised by Chef Shimokuni Shin, as well as a "Mexican Taco Party Set with 10 Fillings" that everyone can enjoy, and a wide variety of hearty mega-portion dishes.

Asahi Super Dry Beer Park in Nishi 6-chome is a great location to enjoy beer in the shade surrounded by trees. At this venue, you can enjoy fresh draft beer brewed at Sapporo's only large-scale brewery in Shiroishi Ward, Sapporo.

This year, in pursuit of "keg-style cold draft beer," Super Dry Extra Cold will be served in an aluminum "ice-cold tumbler" that is chilled to below freezing. Please enjoy the "ice-cold experience" the moment you hold it in your hand and the moment you put it in your mouth.

The popular reserved seating at Nishi 7-chome "Kirin Ichiban Shibori Beer Garden" has over 300 seats in a large tent. You can also enjoy the time while waiting for your food in the live kitchen, where you can watch the cooking process.

The food menu offers freshly prepared dishes such as Kirin Beer Garden's fresh lamb Jingisukan, authentic wood-fired pizza, and Muroran Yakitori. Be sure to enjoy them with a Kirin Ichiban Shibori beer.

"THE Sapporo Beer Garden" in Nishi 8-chome is a special beer garden where you can experience the whole of Hokkaido. The large all-weather tent remains the same, but the number of seats for four has been doubled from last year. Not only can you enjoy "Sapporo Classic," which is celebrating its 40th anniversary since its release, but the venue will also be selling a limited edition "Classic Summer Refreshing Draft Beer."

A new live kitchen will be introduced this year, where you can enjoy dishes that go perfectly with beer, such as piping hot fried chicken half, Genghis Khan, and thick-fried noodles.

"World Beer Square with Hokkaido" on West 10th Street has a total of over 100 types of beer from around the world, including draft beer from around the world, bottled beer, and craft beer from Hokkaido. In addition, the "Choose Your Own!! Tasting Set" allows you to choose and enjoy three draft beers from around the world, allowing you to experience the different flavors and characteristics of beer from each country.

A Hokkaido brewery will also be present at the venue, and the food corner will offer a wide selection of international gourmet and meat dishes to enjoy with your beer.

At Sapporo German Village on West 11th Street, you can enjoy draft beer from Hofbräu, the official brewery of the world's largest beer festival, Oktoberfest. You can enjoy the rich aroma and flavor of draft beer imported directly from Germany. Approximately half of the venue is tent seating, with plenty of sofa seating and standing space available. The layout of the entire venue allows for a relaxed atmosphere.

In addition to German beer, they also offer a wide variety of drinks, including wine, chuhai, non-alcoholic beer, children's beer, and soft drinks. They also have a wide selection of food that allows you to enjoy authentic German flavors, such as sausages and Eisbein.
