Hokkaido's largest food festival "2025 Sapporo Autumn Fest" (Sapporo City)
Hokkaido's largest food festival is held in Odori Park in the center of Sapporo. From Odori Park 4-chome to 11-chome, each block has its own concept, and around 300 stores will be gathering together, offering a variety of seasonal ingredients and gourmet food from all over Hokkaido. There will also be sales of fine sake and vegetables from various regions of Hokkaido, and stage events. A night market at a popular spot in Otaru: "North Canal Night Market Yummy Market 2025" (Otaru City)
This night market, held at Otaru Canal, a popular spot in Otaru, sells gourmet food and miscellaneous goods. A variety of shops, including restaurants, accessories, and local specialty stores, line the canal. Enjoy fireworks and gourmet food at the 22nd Kushiro Tairyo Donpaku (Kushiro City)
This festival allows you to enjoy spectacular fireworks and delicious food from the Kushiro region. The name "Donpaku" is a combination of "don" (fireworks) and "paku" (delicious food), and as such, the festival is aptly named. Pounding rice cakes with the world's largest mortar at the 43rd Iwamizawa Hyakumochi Festival (Iwamizawa City)
This is Iwamizawa's largest festival, featuring its specialty rice (glutinous rice). The festival's main event, the Omoroshi Mochitsuki, features a spectacular demonstration of mochi pounding using one of the world's largest mortars, measuring 2.2 meters in diameter and weighing 5.5 tons. A limited number of freshly pounded mochi are served to visitors as sweet soup. There is also a food truck market, dance and Japanese drum performances, and the Iwamizawa Passion Festival, where you can buy Iwamizawa-grown agricultural products and processed goods, and eat gourmet food made with local ingredients, is also held on the same day.

Food festival "Northern Blessings Asahikawa Food Marche 2025" held in downtown Asahikawa (Asahikawa City)
"The Blessings of the North: Asahikawa Food Marche 2025" is a seasonal event in early autumn in Asahikawa City. Around JR Asahikawa Station and Heiwadori Shopping Park, a large collection of delicious food from Asahikawa City, other parts of Northern Hokkaido, and exchange cities will be gathered. This year, a new "Food Forest Zone" will be set up, where you can enjoy original menus that make the most of Asahikawa's local characteristics, as well as booths that collaborate with Asahikawa ingredients.

Enjoy the beginning of autumn with gourmet food and fireworks at the "Futami 20th Anniversary Festival & Fireworks Display" (Yakumo Town)
This autumn event allows you to enjoy Yakumo Town's proud cuisine. In addition to a lineup of gourmet booths selling takoyaki, burgers, fried foods, and more, there will also be a fireworks display with approximately 1,000 shots on the night of the 13th to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the merger of the former Yakumo Town and the former Kumaishi Town. This popular festival offers a menu featuring Matsumae-produced bluefin tuna. In addition to tuna, there are other dishes using local specialties. The 40th Hamamasu Hometown Festival (Ishikari City), where agricultural, fishery and livestock products from Ishikari Hamamasu are gathered
This is the first of Ishikari City's three major autumn festivals. Fresh autumn salmon and other agricultural, fishery, and livestock products from Hamamasu, Ishikari City are sold here. There are plenty of events for everyone to enjoy, from the "Okiage Ondo" dance that recreates the herring fishing of the past, to local performing arts and a bingo tournament.

This is one of Ishikari's three major autumn festivals. You can enjoy the flavors of Atsuta's homeland, from the sea and mountains, through Ishikari salmon caught that morning, direct sales of Atsuta's agricultural and marine products, and gourmet food stalls. Other events include a quiz to guess the weight of the salmon, and a rice cake throwing event with a lottery, and the festival is crowded with many people every year.

The 33rd Nemuro Sanma Festival (Nemuro City) where you can eat fresh grilled sanma on the spot
This "all-you-can-eat sanma" event is unique to Nemuro, Japan's number one sanma catcher. At the festival's main attraction, the "Quayside Robata Corner," which is bustling with visitors, you can grill fresh Nemuro sanma yourself on a charcoal grill and eat it straight from the grill. It's a two-day event filled with salmon that salmon lovers will love, with events like "Ishikari Nabe" (a large pot of food for 1,000 people), sales of fresh raw salmon caught in Ishikari's foreshore, the spectacular and famous "Salmon Grabbing" event, and salmon roe rice bowls made by local restaurants.

This is Shintoku Town's largest festival where you can taste the "four fresh soba noodles" that each shop boasts. This is Shari Town's biggest autumn event, where you can savor the bounty of the mountains and the sea. In addition to selling gourmet food and local specialties unique to Hokkaido, such as chanchan-yaki, apples from Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture will also be available.
